The meeting was called to order at 7:06 PM. Attending: Jason KF5EJX, Jim AB5JK, Cici AA5EK, Dee KF5UDO, Dave WA6YJW, Richard N5YPJ, Roger K0YY, Gary K5QOW, Mary KU5Z and Erik K5WW.
A lot of time was spent discussing the CARC’s participation in the upcoming Texas State Parks On The Air event. Roger has reserved one camp site, and has prepared a long list of radio and camping items that he has available in his RV (aka. rolling shack); and also a list of items that the club and individual members will have to bring if needed. More planning to be done.
Treasurer Cici reported that we have exactly the same amount in the bank as last month.
Jim AB5JK reported that the Echolink/Allstar work is almost finished. He is preparing to demonstrate how to use those systems at a next meeting.
The meeting was adjourned after 8 PM, after which birthday girl Mary KU5Z was showered (almost) in presents. Happy 40th! 😉
Finally got to meet Erik, K5WW, in person today. We discussed any number of topics, and interestingly, they were all about Ham Radio. Also, we were in agreement that I should attend a Coyote Amateur Radio Club Meeting in 2015!! de WW5XX
