World Amateur Radio Day

If there’s one day that every Amateur Radio operator should be on the air it is April 18. Every year. Whether you have a 1 Watt radio or run the full gallon, are limited to VHF only or have everything from DC to daylight, and have an antenna farm the size of North Dakota or can only work on that wet noodle: get on the radio on April 18!

Why? The International Amateur Radio Union was formed April 18, 1925. And without the IARU we wouldn’t have this wonderful hobby. Consider this our day!
