{"id":1821,"date":"2016-01-29T06:04:58","date_gmt":"2016-01-29T06:04:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/coyotearc.net\/?p=1821"},"modified":"2016-01-29T06:04:58","modified_gmt":"2016-01-29T06:04:58","slug":"amistad-here-we-come","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coyotearc.net\/index.php\/2016\/01\/29\/amistad-here-we-come\/","title":{"rendered":"Amistad, here we come!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This weekend we&#8217;ll be participating in the ARRL&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/npota.arrl.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">National Parks on The Air<\/a> event from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nps.gov\/amis\/index.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Amistad Recreational Area<\/a> (or &#8220;park&#8221;, as we locals call it) in Val Verde county! It was designated RC01 on the ARRL&#8217;s list and has not been activated yet this year; so we should have lots of callers.<\/p>\n<p>The weather should be good, so no need to postpone it any longer! Consider yourself invited; for more information use the Contact Us form or call the President&#8217;s number listed on that page, please.<\/p>\n<p>Brief directions to the site: from Del Rio head North on Veterans Blvd. \/ Highway 90. When you get to the ramp to Highway 277 (the &#8220;Y&#8221;) stay on Highway 90 and continue 7 miles.
