Minutes of the Janaury meeting were read (but not out loud) and approved.<\/p>\n
New business: the treasurer reports no changes since last month.<\/p>\n
There are no changes in the level of radio interference in the shack; the representative from AEP has yet to show up.<\/p>\n
David is picking up the repeater’s duplexers; which still needed to be retuned after the frequency change. That leaves the repeater offline; but the duplexers are expected to be back early March.<\/p>\n
The biggest, and disastrous news: our fantastic President, Mr. Jason Shell KS5TX, has announced his resignation as President. He has accepted a new job in Fort Hood; and stated it would be impossible to perform his “duties” given the distance. Talk about a lame excuse! \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
But: we all wish him the very best! And we all have a feeling he won’t be gone for long. Because, after all, he is the best. And he made sure to rub our noses in it, showing off a great looking certificate he received for placing 3rd in the 2015 edition of the TARA RTTY Melee contest, in the Single Operator Low Power section!<\/p>\n
Jim AB5JK will take over the duties of President, at the very least until new elections can be held.<\/p>\n
The meeting was adjourned at 7:35 PM, after which we all sobbed, witnessing Jason ride off in the sunset on his steed called Ford<\/em>.
