{"id":446,"date":"2013-07-21T21:54:54","date_gmt":"2013-07-21T21:54:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/coyotearc.net\/?p=446"},"modified":"2013-07-21T21:54:54","modified_gmt":"2013-07-21T21:54:54","slug":"another-fun-contest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coyotearc.net\/index.php\/2013\/07\/21\/another-fun-contest\/","title":{"rendered":"Another fun contest!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We participated in the North American QSO Party &#8211; RTTY edition on July 20 and 21.\u00a0 The NAQPs are short (10 or 12 hours) contests, organized by the <a title=\"North American QSO Party rules\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ncjweb.com\/naqprules.php\" target=\"_blank\">National Contest Journal<\/a>, that come in 3 flavors: SSB, phone, and RTTY. All 3 versions are held twice a year; and because they&#8217;re not 24 or 48 hours long and nobody can run more than 100 W most operators can find the time to put in those hours <strong>and<\/strong> compete with the big guns. And they do; because participation is always high! We picked the RTTY edition this time (and the phone edition in August) because that seems to be what most CARC members are interested in. More <a href=\"http:\/\/ad0k.net\/rtty\/rttyinfo\/diddle.htm\" target=\"_blank\">diddles<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>Below\u00a0is the number of QSOs we logged and our claimed score.
