Not “4 more years”…

… but 4 more states!

Some time ago I signed up the CARC to the Logbook of The World. It’s essentially a repository of QSOs between thousands of amateur radio operators around the world; and is particularly convenient to apply for some of the awards the ARRL issues. No need to exchange paper QSL cards anymore: it’s all done electronically!

I was looking at what we’ve accomplished so far regarding one of their most popular awards, the Worked All States award. It turns out that we already have 46 states confirmed!

CARC 46 states already!

Copyright ARRL.

The states we’re missing right now are Maine, Maryland, Nebraska and South Dakota.

So… get started, people; so we can get that shiny award for the club shack. Before the end of the year – it can be done! 🙂

It would be nice to have a shiny award for the shack. Lets get it done.

One way to make that happen is to participate in all the big contests, and in case of these 4 missing states the fastest way would be to participate in those states’ QSO parties.

On May 4 and 5 is the New England QSO party, which includes the state of Maine.
Maryland (DC) has its QSO party on August 10 and 11.

Unfortunately the Nebraska and South Dakota QSO Parties were held in April. But that doesn’t mean we have to wait until 2014! Any big contest will do. 🙂
