Open house at the Coyote Amateur Radio Club

The Coyote Amateur Radio Club (C.A.R.C.) would like to invite you to an open house at our club station for a demonstration of our group and some of the different modes available in ham radio (Phone, RTTY, PSK31, and others). We will have some videos related to ham radio and Roger K0YY will have a presentation on exploring South Africa and Zimbabwe and his DXpedtion to Zimbabwe from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. Food will be served 12:00 to 1:00 PM for everyone who attends (hamburgers and hotdogs). VE testing for new licenses and upgrades will be offered at 3:00 PM.

The Coyote Amateur Radio Club is sponsored by Uvalde Memorial Hospital to aid in emergency communication in the event of a disaster. The club practices good radio operation by participating in contests and the annual ARRL (American Radio Relay League) Field Day; because knowing how to operate under adverse conditions helps prepare for when you may have to use the equipment to save your or someone else’s life.
